Academic Program Development Committee's Mission

Plan and implement mechanisms for AGHE to assist academic institutions to develop, strengthen, improve their gerontology, geriatrics, and aging-studies instructional programs, including:

  • Program evaluation
  • Curriculum development
  • Standards and guidelines
  • Marketing gerontology education
  • Education and training materials
  • Course syllabi                                                                 
                   Programs, projects, and sub-committees of the APDC include:
  • The AGHE Consultation Program
  • The AGHE Program of Merit
  • The Terra Nova Project
  • The Intergenerational Sub Committee
